ABRS AWARDS
As a member of the Association of British Riding Schools we are able to run their awards scheme, for this you have to complete a lesson with an assessor marking you. These awards are a very good way of checking your progress and gaining certificates.
We will be running the next awards afternoon on Friday 15 th February with test A at 2pm.
ADOPT A PONY SCHEME
Here’s the answer to the eternal ” can I have a pony?” question.
Adopt a Monach Farm Pony for as little as £5.00 a month. In return you will receive an adoption certificate, and a pony ownership pack including your ponies history and other goodies.
All monies raised will go directly to the care of the ponies. Ask in the office for more info

This is a fantastic opportunity to add to your rosette collection or start a rosette collection for 2008 in the first show of the season.
We invite you to choose your favourite horse or pony (subject to demand of course) and enter as many classes as you wish in our
SPRING SHOW.
Give yourself a challenge- enter a class (or may be two) and have a go – there is none of the pressure of transporting your horse to the show or staying up late to wash them and spending the night in the stable to make sure he stays clean (it has been known). Try Fancy Dress, Handy Pony, Best ridden
Instead you will be able to spend the day or several hours at the yard having fun and hopefully winning a rosette or two – the ponies enjoy the day thoroughly and you will too!!! You will need to allow time to get your own pony spick & span in the morning.

MONACH FARM FACTS FOR 2008
Emy’s pony Leah will be 30 on 25 th April – that’s very old.
There are 45 ponies living at Monach – how many can you name?
The combined ages of all our ponies is 662 – how old is your pony
Our ponies use 840 shoes each year – each shoe costs £15
CAR PARKING
Can we please remind you to park in the car park in front of the new Clare Cottage, this is Emy’s house so she really doesn’t mind.
Please do not park on the road as it is a legal requirement to keep it clear to give emergency vehicles access. The grass on the road side of the hedge does not belong to the farm and must not be used for parking.
A big thank you to everyone for their patience whilst we rebuilt the house, the car park should be back in full use very soon.
We appreciate space can be tight but please help us & park sensibly and close together.

PONY CLUB
The new pony club term starts on Sunday 6 th January 2007. The first Saturday pony club is on 12 th January and then alternate Saturdays & Sundays.
The next test day will be on rally day on Thursday 14th February if you want to be considered for a test please ask your instructor so we can structure your ridden work as well as your pony club sessions.
THANK YOU
The staff & ponies would like to say a big thank you for all our presents that we received for Christmas.
